Film Scoring / Sound design
This example is based on a clip from the movie 'Pan's Labyrinth' (2006). For this clip, a musical composition was created and orchestrated. Additionally, complete foley and sound effects were created.
Music
Leitmotifs were created for the creature and dagger. Furthermore, a fusion of tonal and modal techniques was employed for the composition. The entire recording was executed utilising virtual instruments.
Foley
The foley was captured using a small-diaphragm condenser microphone sE8. It was carried out employing everyday objects. For the creature's breathing, sound libraries of animal recordings were utilized in combination with the aforementioned recordings.
Sound Effects
The sound effects were crafted using granular synthesis and FM synthesis techniques. Additionally, some sampling techniques were employed for moments such as when the wall opens, revealing the door.
